Conference

The DEUTSCHEN BAUMPFLEGETAGE were founded in 1993 by Dr. Steffen Wiebe under the name "Augsburger Baumpflegetage". His motto was that, "The participants shall have the opportunity to refresh their professional knowledge and guidelines for decisions on controversial questions regarding arboriculture shall be given. I strongly emphasize on objectivity and try to make sure that the moderators handle even controversial questions in an un-committed and emotionless way."
Way too early Dr. Steffen Wiebe died of leukaemia in December 1994. In early 1995 Dr. Dirk Dujesiefken started leading the conference in the spirit of Dr. Steffen Wiebe. He follows the principles of the conference up to the current date.

Each conference day follows one thematic focus. All speakers are specialists. The different presentations at the DEUTSCHEN BAUMPFLEGETAGE shall form a bridge between science and practical arboriculture: latest developments and scientific insights are presented and practical consequences for arboriculture are elaborated.
